A New Life In Christ :Praise, Prayer & Personal Devotions
Like any relationship the most important key is one must make time. You also need to establish an
effective means of communication.
You need to know intimately the sound of your lover’s voice. What your lover likes and dislikes.
You may even have a special place that no one knows about. You exchange gifts perhaps to show each other your appreciation and you always put forward the very best of you. Not the left over’s. You make sacrifices. At the end of this initial stage spent in each other’s company you fall in love.
You’re heart skips a beat when they are due for a visit and you race to get ready in anticipation of their eminent arrival.
Adrenaline is rushing through your body,eye lids flutter, you have butterflies in your stomach
There is joy deep within you when you know that this love you have is being reciprocated.
This is the same way I feel about my relationship with my saviour, my God. Sounds a bit out of this world? Well it is all that an even more.
In fact I remember praying asking God How is it possible to feel this way and the Holy Spirit just revealed to me that God gave us these bodily physical reactions so that we can experience in our human relationships with husbands and wives the way God feels about us.
All creation on earth must realise the import of the words,
“For God so loved this world that He gave his Only begotten
Son that whosoever beleiveth upon him should not
perish but have everlasting life” John3:16
You must forgive me I am not passionate about my religion but I am passionate about my love for Yaweh,
Jehovah, The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.
On my quest to find God and answers to life’s big questions ,I read In the opening surahs of the Quaran
there is a texts that talks about the many paths to Allah.
This is also the message New Agers have as their main teaching or philosophy.
The denomination I formerly was a member of required me to pray to Mary and other dead saints to intercede
on my behalf. Somehow strangely I knew I was not cleansed from my sins. Imagine my shock when I started
the practice of reading my bible and found the text in the bible teaches that
“ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. “
John 14 6
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
1Timothy 2:5
I feel that is very definitive and there is power behind these words.
I love the text in Joshua (all bible texts can be refrenced at the top of each page for your convenience)
“ choose ye this day whom you’ll serve……As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”
Joshua 24:15
Once you’ve made that all important decision to give your heart to Jesus Christ.Its easy as A.B.C
Accept you are a sinner in need of a saviour
Believe that Jesus died in atonement for your sins, once and for all
Confess all your sins to him and repent
Salvation is a free gift that you cannot earn you are given it by Grace
John the Baptist said “repent be baptised”
